We are an interdenominational ministry whose desire it is to win the lost for Christ. We come from diverse backgrounds with the common goal of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is our desire to present the Gospel to those on the highways and byways of our country who may not otherwise have it presented to them. The informal atmosphere of the Grace Pentecostal Chapel Bible Studies presents the opportunity for people to be themselves, without the pressure to play church. It allows for a relaxed setting for Bible Studies, counseling and getting to know one another. If you have always had questions concerning God and/or the Bible, bring them to the Bible Studies. We love the discussions which arise.

Many of you all know our Brother Lawrence from Ghana. He is finally going to be able to go home and see his family and begin working on the African Missions Project. I recently received this from Steve, where Lawrence has been staying, and wanted to pass it along as I hope folks will be able to help in some way or another. Hello all I thought it would be profitable to send Lawrence home with a care package from us for him as he starts his ministerial work in Ghana and for his family. Some of the things that I have in mind are as follows:
- Bibles — many large print as well as decent ones for him to have around for people to use.
- Library — I would like to send him home with some books and/or other materials that I thought would be of help. For example, he read a book that I have about George Washington Carver. He mentioned that he would like to take a concordance. Maybe we could give hiim a copy of the Archko Volume. Perhaps others have suggestions. I would like to send him home with a small library of such books for himself and to share with others.
- Movies — I thought it would be nice for Lawrence to have a little library of DVDs so he could do something like a movie night at his house for his children and their friends and/or others in the neighborhood as a tool to reach out. Most any kind of decent movie could do (e.g. Bond, Gladiator, My Cousin Vinny, and various action movies), but I was also thinking of some good discussion starters like — Remember the Titans, Ben Hur, Amistad, Schindler’s List, The Hurricane, Mr. Hollands Opus, It’s a Wonderful Life, etc… Perhaps folks have their own suggestions.
- Kitchen Items — I know that they do not have the selection of kitchen items that we have here and yet Lawrence would like to get his wife baking and doing other things for his family and perhaps in support of his Internet cafe and/or other outreaches. He mentioned muffin, bread tins and the like. Mix masters like the Kitchen Aid that we have are hard to find or get in Ghana. His family has been without a refrigerator for several years. Some of these items it may be best to purchase here. Others, it may be best to send him home with some money so he can buy there.
There may be other items unrelated to the above that people think would be nice or have heard him make mention of. In any case, I would like to put something together for him in the next week or two so that he can send them in a container (probably a 55 gallon drum) like he has sent other items over in before he leaves. While used items (in some instances) may be fine, I do not want to send him home with junk. Rather, I want these items to be an expression of our love, appreciation and commitment to Lawrence, his family and the work that the Lord has called them to.
